EASY FAN LASHES - WHAT ARE THEY AND HOW TO USE THEM

Have you heard of Easy Fan lashes? They are exactly what they’re called! Easy to fan and they’re self-fanning! The lash industry is always coming out with new techniques, making it easier to speed up our service time and allow us to take more clients in a day! It could cut your time down in half when creating a volume set. There are so many different lash trays in the market like volume lashes, pre-made fans, LTR lashes, 2-layer lashes, easy fans, etc. Easy Fans are one of the products in the lash industry that have mixed reviews.

In this blog, we’ll talk about what easy fans are, the difference between them and regular volume lashes, and how to use them so you can see if they’re right for you!

WHAT ARE EASY FAN LASHES?
Easy fan lashes are made to speed up your appointment and also make it easier to make and apply your fan. If you’re new to volume and mega volume, these might be just for you! It can be quite tricky trying to make a fan and you may run into some loose lashes at first.  There is glue already bonded at the base so it doesn’t fall apart when picking it up off the strip. They are made of multiple layers of lashes instead of just one. This way, when you grab it off the strip, they form into one layer and spread out easily into a fan.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EASY FAN AND REGULAR LASHES?
The main difference between the two is their base. Easy fan bases are already pre-bonded together while regular lashes aren’t. When you pick up an easy fan, you’ll see that the base is more boxier. A tip is to not grab so much lashes off the strip, otherwise this will result in a thick base which can be unhealthy for the natural lash and result in more stickies. Less is more! You’ll need to be familiar with the thickness of diameters you’re using and knowing how many lashes to pick up are just right.

With regular lashes, they only have one layer of layer instead of multiple. Their bases are also loose and not pre-bonded so when picking them off the strip, you need to grab with 100% pressure with your tweezers otherwise there will be stray hairs.

One thing about them is that if you love to wrap your fans to the natural lashes, easy fans might not be for you. The glue at their base creates a barrier between your lash adhesive, so it would be hard for the lashes to wrap around the natural lash. With handmade regular fans you are able to wrap, boosting your retention even more!

HOW DO I USE EASY FANS?

This method is called on the strip method.

  1. Grab the lashes off the strip towards you, but not too high as it can break apart.
  1. Put the lashes back on the strip with the base straight on it. The strip will be sticky, allowing it to stick. Don’t put it too high as it can stick to the lashes.
  1. Close your volume tweezer and use the back part to make the fan spread out, gently wiggling it left to right.

  2. Pick up the strip, again not too high, and dip in adhesive and apply to the natural lash.
