It’s finally fall season! This is the perfect time to try out brown lash extensions if you haven’t yet! Brown lash extensions are a great alternative to the traditional black extensions. They offer a more natural look that is perfect for those who want to enhance their lashes without drawing too much attention to them.

Another great thing about brown lash extensions is that they are incredibly versatile. They can be worn for any occasion, whether it's a casual day out or a formal event.

We have all the brown lashes you could think of! From different shades like light brown to dark brown to glitter and even in specialty curls like M curl! Brown is becoming one of our favorite types of lashes and is actually becoming a trend all year long. It’s also a great addition to your menu!

Who should choose brown lash extensions?

Those who want a natural look

One of the best things about brown lash extensions is that they still offer the same fullness as black extensions. This means that you can achieve the same dramatic effect without having to go for the bold black look. They are perfect for adding length and volume to your lashes without looking too dramatic.

Brunette or red colored hair

They can be a great choice for those with light skin or red hair. One thing you can do is pick a shade of brown that matches their hair color. Whether it be dark brown, light brown, ashy brown, or a red brown. Brown lash extensions can complement their natural hair color and create a cohesive overall look!

Green or hazel eyes

Brown lashes are the perfect match for people with green or hazel eyes. This is because green and hazel eyes have hints of brown in them, which makes the brown lashes blend in more naturally and enhance the eye color. Brown lashes give a more subtle and natural look than black lashes, which can sometimes overpower lighter eye colors. When choosing brown lashes, it's important to select a shade that complements your skin tone and eye color for the best results.

Lighter skin tones

When it comes to choosing the right lash extensions, it's important to consider your skin tone. They can be a great option for those with lighter skin tones. This is because they offer a more natural look than black extensions, which can sometimes look too harsh on fair skin.

Ultimately, the decision to choose brown lash extensions should be based on what makes you feel confident! If you're still unsure which lash extension color is right for you, consider consulting with a professional lash artist who can provide personalized recommendations based on your unique features and preferences.

Tips for when applying brown lashes

We recommend using clear adhesive when applying in order for the color to fully show. Try not to use too much glue if you’re using a black adhesive as it can run up the fan and prevent that seamless, airy look on the lash line.

Another tip is to try mixing black and brown lashes together for a fun, yet subtle look! Remember, there are no rules for when it comes to getting creative with your sets. Have fun with it and try this combination to add some texture!

Note that if your clients are looking for a dramatic look, brown lashes may not be for them. They don’t appear as dark as black lashes but they still give off that volume and fluffy look!

Lash styles to try

Wet lash
One way to enhance the look of your brown lash extensions is to try the wet lash look.  The result is a glossy, wet-looking finish that can make your eyes appear brighter and more awake. To achieve the wet lash look, you will need to apply only closed fans or spikes to your set. We recommend this for clients with a moderate to full lash line.

Volume cat-eye
You could never go wrong with a cat-eye! However, note that this style does not suit everyone. It’s perfect for those who have almond or round shaped eyes as it is designed to accentuate the outer corners of your eyes, creating a cat-like appearance that is both sultry and seductive.

To achieve the perfect cat-eye look, your lash technician will apply longer lashes to the outer corners of your eyes and gradually taper them towards the inner corners. This technique creates a subtle yet stunning effect that will make your eyes pop and give you that alluring gaze you’ve always wanted! It’ll give the illusion like you’re wearing brown eyeliner!

Maintenance for brown lash extensions is similar to that of black lash extensions. Avoid getting them wet for the first 24 hours and avoid using oil-based products around the eye area. It's also important to avoid rubbing or pulling on the lashes, as this can cause them to fall out prematurely. With proper care, brown lash extensions can last up to six weeks.
