PROMADE FANS
Promade fans are all hand-made by the artist beforehand and used during the service. Many artist do this during their free time to speed up their appointment and the application process.
Artists make the fan using a “crystallization” process. Crystallizing your fans refers to when you make a fan, dip it in adhesive, slide off the excuse adhesive, and pinch the base again with your fingers to to seal it. It’s best to not use too much glue as you will add more when applying it on your client. The best part is that they have the same retention as regular fans that are being made as you lash.

PREMADE FANS
Premade fans can be used by beginner and advanced lash artist! They are a great way to give your client the same results as handmade fans while cutting your time in half. They are machine-made, bonding multiple lashes together to create a fan. There are two types: glue bonded and heat bonded fans.
Glue bonded fans are sealed together using glue. The glue adds unnecessary weight and the artist will need to add additional glue when attaching it to the natural lashes. This can be too heavy and very damaging for the natural lashes.
Heat bonded fans are sealed together using heat. At elan beaute, we only offer heat-bonded premade fans! We believe that heat bonded fans are the better option than glue bonded fans because they are much lighter and safe for the natural lashes.
HOW DO YOU PICK UP A PREMADE FAN?
Picking up a premade fan is super easy!
1. Grab your volume tweezer and angle it to where the tweezer handle is facing you, then carefully pull the base off the strip. You want to pull the fan off the base away from you, not towards you!
2. Set the fan down first and then grab it above the base, making sure you have a full grip with your tweezers.
3. Dip it at least 2mm into the adhesive and scoop it upwards.
4. Place the fan on top or beneath the natural lash, making sure the base is flat against the natural lash for maximum retention.
DO NOT pull from the top or the middle of the fan! This will ruin and bend the lashes, causing the fan go to waste! Grab the whole fan to prevent it from ripping apart.
