THE SAFEST WAY TO REMOVE LASH EXTENSIONS

There Will Be Times A Client Will Book A Removal With You Because They Want To Take A Break. Those Who Want A Completely Different Set With Different Mapping Will Require A Removal. Some Will Book If They Are Experiencing Any Irritation, Poking, And Discomfort Due To Improper Application.

If Clients Are Experiencing An Allergic Reaction To The Glue Itself Or Ingredients In The Glue, The Best Thing To Do Is Remove The Whole Set And Advise Them To Seek Medical Advice.

There Are Multiple Ways To Safely Remove Eyelash Extensions For Any Of These Situations. When Done Properly, The Removal Process Should Be Completely Harmless To The Natural Lashes.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF EYELASH EXTENSION REMOVER?

Eyelash Extention Removers Break Down And Soften The Strong Cyanoacrylate Bond With The Natural Lashes. There Are Two Types Of Removers: Gel And Cream.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GEL AND CREAM REMOVERS?

Cream Removers Have A Thicker Consistency. They Are Best Used For When You Have A Lot Of Lashes To Remove And Are Easy To Apply As They Don’t Get Onto Your Clients Eyes Or Skin. Gel Removers Have A Thinner Consistency. Since They Are A Bit Runnier, You Need To Be Careful When Applying It Onto The Lashes As They Can Drip Into Your Clients Eyes Or On Their Skin. They Are Perfect For When You Only Need A Couple Of Lashes To Remove.

IS IT SAFE TO DO A REMOVAL AT HOME?

We Do Not Recommend Removing Your Lash Extensions At Home By Yourself As It Can Be Very Dangerous And Lead To An Infection When Using Unsanitary Tools. Using Coconut Oil Or Olive Oil Is Not Very Effective Because They Are Not Strong Enough To Break The Bond.

Your Eyes Need To Be Closed When Remover Is Applied, Otherwise It May Get Into Your Eye And Cause Painful Burning! Pulling Off Your Lashes Is A Big No As It May Pull Your Natural Lashes With It! We Highly Recommend You Go To A Professional Or To The Same Lash Artist That Did Your Set.

STEP BY STEP GUIDELINE ON HOW TO SAFELY REMOVE LASH EXTENSIONS

1. Apply Eye Pads Or Under Eye Patches To Your Clients Undereyes As Usual.

This Is To Prevent Any Excess Remover From Getting Into Their Eyes Or Onto Their Skin That Will Cause Them Any Discomfort Since The Remover Is Pretty Strong.

Make Sure Your Client’s Eyes Stay Closed Throughout This Entire Process

2. This Step Is Optional, But You Can Tape The Lash Extensions Down To The Eyepad So The Lashes Are Not In The Way When Applying The Remover.

3. Using Your Lip Applicator, Scoop Just Enough Of The Cream Or Gel Remover Needed And Place It Into Your Glue Ring Or Cup.

You Want To Use A Clean Lip Applicator Everytime You Grab More Out From The Container. This Is To Prevent Any Cross Contamination!

4. Apply The Remover To The Base Of The Lashes And A Little Higher Than The Base. DO NOT Let It Touch Your Client’s Skin.

5. This Step Is Optional As Well But You Can Use A Plastic Film Or Another Eyepad To Place On Top Of The Remover. This Helps To Retain The Heat And Speed Up The Process.

6. Wait At Least 10 Minutes.

7. Using A Clean Pair Of Tweezers Or Lip Applicators, Gently Pull Off The Lash Extensions.

Be Sure Not To Tug Hard Enough To Pull Off Their Natural Lashes

For Any Stubborn Lashes That Are Still On, You Can Apply A Little Bit Remover And Wait A Couple More Minutes Or You Can Use Tweezers To Gently Pull The Lash Apart To Break The Base.

8. Once Every Lash Is Removed, Clean Off The Residue With Your Lip Applicators.

You Want To Remove As Much As You Can Before You Wet The Lashes With Water To Avoid Shock Polymerization!

This Can Cause The Residue To Turn White, Which Can Be A Hassle And Cause Retention Issues If You’re Planning To Do A Fresh New Set Right After.

9. Once All The Residue Is Off, Remove The Eye Pads.

Grab Your Cleansing Brush, Lash Shampoo, Drip Bottle, And A Towel. You Want To Give Your Client At Least 2 Lash Baths And Clean Their Entire Eye Area To Ensure Everything Is Squeaky Clean!

Removing Lash Extensions Is That Easy And Can Be Pretty Satisfying To Do! It’s Best To Communicate With Your Client During This Whole Process And Always Ask Them How They’re Doing And That They Should Express If They’re Feeling Any Sort Of Discomfort. Depending On The Health Of Their Natural Lashes, You Can Recommend Them To Use An Eyelash Serum Until Their Next Set To Help Stimulate Healthy Hair Growth.
